We want you! Your ability is not important, we accept all people, whether disabled or not. If you are classifiable and want to take part in tournaments, that is an option. Not disabled but want to try something new, come along and try it.

Anyone can join. Want to meet a group of amazing people? Want to try a different style of fitness? All are welcome
Where we play
Training takes place every fortnight on Saturdays at Liskeard Leisure Centre on Coldstyle Road. Wheelchair accessible building and the sports hall is on the ground floor.

Have you seen it on TV and wondered what it was like? Wheelchair Rugby is getting noticed more now and it is an amazing sport! We encourage all to try it out
Players
There are 2 choices, Attack or Defense. We can help you choose which fits you best
Mechanics
Being a full contact sport our chairs and wheels do get banged up a bit, it would be a couple hours each fortnight for any issues that might occur. Can also play if nothing to do that day and a chair is spare
Court Side Volunteers
To help assist in games, changing tyres, running water bottles to the team, cheer us on in games. Can also play at training sessions if spare chairs available
"I've never really been a sporty person, even less so since my health declined. But wheelchair rugby has been a lifechanger for me! It makes me feel alive again and keeps my mental health on the level. Don't know what I'd do without it now"
Other ways you can support the team
As I'm sure you'll understand, Wheelchair Rugby is not a cheap sport and we are so grateful for all finacial help, whether it's a one off or in Sponsorship. As an example, our wheels, minus the tyre and inner tube are over £300!

There are many ways, you can email us for more information, comment on our social media posts, just turn up at a training session. You can sit and watch, come and take part, we will go at your pace.
Training sessions are on fortnightly Saturdays, taking place between 11am - 1pm at Liskeard Leisure Centre on Coldstyle Road, Liskeard PL14 3HZ
Definitely! All are welcome and our volunteers help the players in so many ways. Assisting players with their chairs, getting from their day chair into their game chair. We all need a bit of a cheer now and then. You tell us what your skills are and what you'd like to help with.
At the moment yes there is. We only have an adults team. If there is enough interest in a youths team we could always look at that further down the line.
Is the leisure centre accessible? Yes it is. There is a slight hill to the entrance, but once inside we are on the ground floor.
